Each Shana Krois piece is handcrafted using a range of metals and natural gemstones. With thoughtful care, your jewelry will develop a unique character over time while maintaining its integrity.
General Care
Always remove jewelry before swimming, sports, harsh chemicals, beauty products, or extreme temperatures. Store sterling silver in an airtight bag to prevent tarnish.
18k Vermeil Finish
Finished in 18k gold over sterling silver, these pieces will naturally evolve with wear.
Avoid water, chemicals, and friction to extend the life of the finish.
Replating services are available
Sterling Silver
Oxidized finishes will naturally wear over time, revealing the underlying silver. This is part of the character of the piece. Restoration is available upon request.
Polished surfaces may be cleaned with a soft cloth. Matte finishes can be cleaned gently with soap and a soft brush.
Other Materials
- Solid gold and white gold are durable for regular wear.
- Electroformed pieces are lightweight and should be handled with care to avoid pressure or impact.
- Gemstones vary in hardness. Avoid impact and harsh conditions, especially with softer stones such as opal, kyanite, calcite, and lapis.
Double-Sided Earrings: How to Put Them On
Insert the front through the ear as you normally would, then guide and twist the back into place. The angled 14k gold post is designed to sit securely once aligned.
If needed, a small amount of natural oil can help ease the connection. Repair services are available if needed.
