About the Jewelry
Are your earrings heavy?
No! This surprises everyone.
My vermeil jewelry is created using an electroforming process that allows me to craft bold, sculptural designs that remain remarkably lightweight and comfortable to wear.
I also create solid silver and gold earrings set with vibrant stones. While these pieces are made through a different casting process, they are still designed with comfort in mind, allowing for effortless wear throughout the day.
What is electroforming?
It's how I create sculptural forms that are both solid and lightweight. Metal grows over a wax form over several days, creating a hollow shell of silver or copper. This lets me make bold, dimensional pieces that feel comfortable to wear.
What's the difference between casting and electroforming?
Electroforming grows metal over the wax form, creating lightweight hollow pieces. Casting replaces the wax with metal, creating solid pieces. I use electroforming for a variety of my earrings because it allows me to push the form of my designs and still remain comfortable for daily use. Rings and some bracelets are cast solid metals allowing them to be durable enough for life long use.
Can double-sided earrings be worn either direction?
Yes, they're completely reversible. The back is a finished piece too, so they look beautiful from every angle.
Sizing & Adjustments
Can you size one-of-a-kind pieces?
Almost all pieces can be resized. If a particular design can't be altered, I'll take measurements and create a similar piece to fit you exactly. For a complete sizing break down, check out our sizing page.
Are bypass rings adjustable?
Yes, though I prefer to size them in the studio. Since they're solid metal, they take some strength to adjust properly. For more information on how to size bypass rings please refer to the sizing page.
